The new DPx HEST/F Survive edition is no different.

Over time the knife will develop a patina and wear adding not subtracting from the appeal of a product. From generation to generation. The new DPx Gear HEST/F Survive is such a build.

Simple things that make sense.

Even down to the custom screw and pivot fastener design which uses 7/64"; the smallest Allen wrench you find in normal hardware stores. This model features Sleipner steel (the harder D2 steel used in meat processing machines), Olive Drab canvas Micarta, and a thick Titanium frame.

it's a multi purpose tool and made to live in a pocket, pack, or kit. 

The Micarta scale becomes your blank canvas, ready to be broken in and seasoned as you put it to hard use.  The more this material is used, the better it looks, or clean it up and start fresh. In ten, twenty, thirty years (or more), this once-in-a-lifetime knife will be unique to you.
